Ville “Vilf” Kähkönen
Ville started skating around with us in 2006 when he was only 13 years old and soon became kind of a little brother to everybody. The way he was, it was often totally the opposite: Ville was the one who knew where we were and what we should do next and took care of things and himself much better than your average 20 year old. His skating also differed from your typical kid learning skateboarding. For Ville it was never about the list of tricks he can do (although it is an impressive list). In one contest an older guy commented Ville`s contest run: “That kid skates like a man!”. He was stoked on the run even though it was nothing special, just the way the kid skates. Somewhere along the way Ville turned to Vilffi and that later shortened to Vilf and nowadays his Mom might be the only one who calls him ville. Now Vilf is a man who’s had his share of adventures, on and off his skateboard and we hope he will keep it that way!
Villestä tuli vakionaama skeittiporukkassamme jo vuonna 2006 jolloin hän oli vasta 13-vuotias. Hänestä tuli pian kaikille eräänlainen pikkuveli. Välillä asia kääntyi kuitenkin päälaelleen sillä Ville olikin yllättäen se kuka tiesi missä ollaan, mitä tehdään seuraavaksi ja piti paremmin huolta asioista ja itsestään kuin tyypillinen 20-vuotias. Villen skeittaus myös erosi paljon muista pikkupojista: Hän skeittasi ensin ja opetteli temput myöhemmin. Kisoissa joku vanhempi skeittaaja kommentoi seuraavasti: ”Toi pikkuskidi skeittaa kuin iso mies!”. Ranissa ei ollut mitään ihmeellistä, Ville vain erottui muista. Jossain matkan varrella Villestä tuli Vilffi ja siitä sitten Vilf. Nyttemmin ehkä Vilffin äiti on ainut kuka häntä kutsuu enään Villeksi. Nyt Vilf jo aikuinen mies, joka on reissannut ja touhunnut, nähnyt ja kokenut, enemmän kuin moni muu, laudan kanssa ja ilman lautaa. Toivottavasti homma jatkuu samaa rataa tulevaisuudessakin!
